Charity Partnerships

To date we have supported a number of charities which meet our strategic aims. Highlighted below are a few examples of the causes we have supported.

Alzheimer's Society

Alzheimer’s Society is a virtual source of support and a powerful force of change for everyone affected by dementia.

While dementia is such a varied disease, the Dementia Advisers have a wide depth of knowledge combined with dedication and passion to help provide personalised solutions for those who need it, making a real difference for them and their carers. 2022/23 Charity of the Year.

Candlelighters

Candlelighters are a charity which helps families with children facing cancer, by giving them extra support.

Roomzzz Aparthotels have donated 100 room nights to the charity to assist these families.

Cash For Kids

Mission Christmas: 17,101 children received a present on Christmas Day thanks to this wonderful charity and we at Parklane Foundation were happy to help.

Cash for Kids, keeping the Christmas dream alive for local disadvantaged children within West Yorkshire, the Yorkshire Dales, Harrogate and York

CRISIS

CRISIS is a UK charity for people experiencing homelessness, they offer year-round services in 12 locations around the country.

Our London Stratford hotel supports CRISIS ever year by providing free rooms to their staff and volunteers for their winter homeless campaign. One of our chosen Charities for 2023/24.

Dementia UK

Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity, their nurses are known as Admiral Nurses they provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia – including Alzheimer’s disease.

The Admiral Nurses are dementia specialists, they can help families manage complex needs. 2022/23 Charity of the Year.

Getting Clean

Getting Clean is a Leeds based charity helping those recovering from addiction. Getting Clean teaching valuable life skills across all aspects of business.

Getting Clean empowers recovering addicts by teaching them to create handmade soaps, which are then sold at local markets. This initiative not only helps individuals overcome addiction but also equips them with valuable life skills to rebuild their futures. It’s truly “Soap with Hope”! 2024/25 Charity of the Year.

GIVE A GIFT

We support Give A Gift, a concept that works with local children’s charities

Such as The Children’s Heart Surgery Fund at Leeds General Infirmary, and the Martin’s House Children’s Hospice.

Islamic Relief

Islamic Relief is an international aid agency that provides humanitarian relief and development programmes in over 40 countries, serving communities in need regardless of race, gender or belief.

We have been privileged to support and enable access to sustainable sources of clean water for thousands of villagers living in poor rural areas in Malawi.

Leeds Community Foundation

Having been one of the Parklane Foundation’s charities of the Year 2019 we continue to be supporting members.

Leeds Community Foundation distributes vital grants and gives trusted advice to Community Organisations across Leeds and Bradford to influence positive change. Driven by creating meaningful social impact for thousands of local people every year.

Leeds Hospitals Charity

Leeds Hospitals Charity supports Leeds Teaching Hospitals to make a real difference for patients, families and staff.

Their mission is to support the Teaching Hospitals in their aim to deliver the best care to patients and their families, this is done through working together with everyone involved. 2022/23 Charity of the Year.

Love.golf

We are working with love.golf to open up the facilities to wider communities, giving those who wouldn’t normally have the opportunity, a chance to get involved.

These events have been a huge success, 40 Muslim women attended a sell out event at The Leeds Golf Centre, an introduction to golf and many couldn’t “wait to get back on the course again!”

NHS

The pandemic put a real strain on all the NHS services

During the height of the lockdown, Roomzzz offered over 2,500 complimentary room nights to the NHS Trust to show their support and as a thank you to all the hard-work the NHS staff are doing for the nation.

Recovery Runners

Recovery Runners is a running group for anyone who is interested in running to recover from life changing events or addictive behaviours.

Founded in 2021 by two recovering alcoholics, Jamie and Dean, Recovery Runners hosts meet-ups, training programmes and running events, offering community and support to those recovering from mental and physical ill health and other issues. 2024/25 Charity of the Year.

Simon on the Streets

Their outreach services directly engage with individuals on the streets.

Ensuring vital support reaches those who might not seek assistance elsewhere. Their tireless efforts span throughout the day and into the night, reaching out to the most vulnerable during the darkest hours. One of our chosen Charities for 2023/24.

ST GEORGES CRYPT

St Georges Crypt is a charity based in Leeds, working with the homeless,

The vulnerable and those suffering from addiction. They offer a lunch service to anyone who comes to the door, providing 3 meals a day 7 days a week to residents, showers, tea and coffee, advice and support; the sense of community. One of our chosen Charities for 2023/24.

Young Lives Vs Cancer

Young Lives vs Cancer, help families find the strength to face everything cancer throws at them.

We know everyone’s different, so we work hard to provide support that’s easy to access and meets individual needs. We raised an amazing £25,000 for our 2021/22 charity of the year.

Young Minds

Young Minds are a mental health charity for children, young people and their parents.

They make sure all young people can get the mental health support they need. Supporting all across the UK. It takes courage to ask for help. But for many young people who do, the support they need just isn’t there. Young Minds are leading the movement for changes. 2024/25 Charity of the Year.

Zikomo Trust

Barry Brindley is the Chairman and founder of the Zikomo Trust, a charity devoted to helping grass roots projects in Malawi.

They want to promote activities which have aim of improving the conditions of life and/or education. While also collecting, dispatching and distributing education, medical and relief goods throughout Malawi. Help to fund organisations and institutions actively involved in the relief of poverty and provision of education.
