As we look back on 2024, we are filled with immense pride and gratitude for what has been our most successful year yet. Thanks to the unwavering support of our incredible community, we achieved a record-breaking fundraising total of £90,000. This phenomenal accomplishment will enable us to continue making a significant impact by supporting local charities and organisations that change lives.



One of the highlights of 2024 was being able to present three £20,000 cheques to our charity partners: Simon on the Streets, St George’s Crypt, and CRISIS. These three outstanding organisations are dedicated to tackling homelessness and offering essential support to those most in need. It is both an honour and a privilege to contribute to their vital work, and we know that this funding will make a meaningful difference in the lives of so many.



A New Partnership: Soap with Hope
At this year’s Annual Foundation Dinner, we were thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership for 2025 with Getting Clean, a local Leeds-based charity founded by the inspiring Chris Sylvester.



Getting Clean empowers recovering addicts by teaching them how to create handmade soaps, which are then sold at local markets. This innovative initiative goes far beyond recovery, providing individuals with valuable skills, a sense of purpose, and a pathway to rebuilding their futures. Every bar of soap is not just a product but a testament to resilience and hope—truly “Soap with Hope.”



In recognition of Chris Sylvester’s incredible work, we were honoured to present him with the Local Initiative Award at our Annual Dinner. Chris’s journey is nothing short of remarkable. Having overcome his own struggles with addiction, he has channelled his experience into creating a charity that uplifts others and strengthens our community. His determination and vision are an inspiration to us all.



What’s Next for 2025?
As we step into 2025, we are filled with excitement and determination to build on the successes of the past year. Our partnership with Getting Clean marks a new chapter for the Parklane Foundation, and we are committed to supporting Chris and his team in expanding their reach and impact. Together, we will support Getting Clean across all aspects of the business, using our resources to help them.



Of course, this is just one of the initiatives we’re excited to pursue. The Parklane Foundation remains dedicated to supporting local organisations and tackling critical issues like mental health and addiction. Our goal for 2025 is not just to match the success of 2024 but to surpass it, reaching even more people in need and inspiring others to join us in our mission.
